One year ago today I had surgery. I'm fine. But it had an impact on my previous job.

My manager, a director, knew I was in surgery. He had human resources contact my wife because I wasn't answering his calls and he needed to talk to me.

I was in SURGERY!!

Prior to this I told him my surgeon wanted me to take 2 to 4 weeks off. He told me I had one week. I said I needed at least two. He threatened to take my team away from me, assign them to another manager, and when I decided to come back I could just work said manager.

He didn't follow through on his threats. But what a petty little asshole.

Six months later to the day I resigned.

12 months later the company is in shambles.
